What is mattwood.fyi?

A live, structured feed of riffs and links from Matt Wood, Chief AI & Technology Officer at AWS — readable by people and queryable by agents as a typed knowledge graph.

Is there an API and is it free?

Yes. A public, read-only query API is available with no authentication and no API keys. See https://mattwood.fyi/openapi.json and https://mattwood.fyi/docs.

How should an AI agent use this site?

Fetch https://mattwood.fyi/feed.json for the full structured feed, or query the API for keyword/semantic search and the connection graph. See https://mattwood.fyi/agents/ for when-to-use guidance.

Rust off Rails: AI-Driven Web Stack

Connections

Related to

Testing Behavioral Harnesses for AI Coding Agents Both address behavioral harnesses for AI coding agents—Rust off Rails enforces conventions through prose specifications while the harness testing item explores how to constrain and validate agent coding behavior systematically.
Ledge: Runnable Markdown Notes Both treat Markdown as a primary execution/specification surface—Ledge makes Markdown notes runnable, while Rust off Rails uses Markdown-based specs as the source of truth for AI-generated full-stack applications.
Developing Provably Correct Rust Code with Verus Both focus on Rust as a target language for AI-assisted development, with the new item generating full-stack Rust apps and Verus focusing on provably correct Rust code—complementary approaches to AI-driven Rust development.

Challenges

The Slow Formation of Durable Software Rust off Rails' AI-driven generation from prose conventions challenges the notion of slow, deliberate accumulation of durable software by proposing that conventions enforced through prose and agent generation can replace traditional framework code accumulation.

Supports

Coding Agent Continual Learning: Analysis of ARC-AGI-3 Problem Solving Both concern coding agents generating complete applications from high-level specifications—the new item provides a structured framework (Markdown specs + decisions) for how agents should operate, directly informing continual learning agent design.
Regenerative Software: The Phoenix Architecture Rust off Rails' zero-framework-code approach where conventions live in prose aligns with the regenerative/phoenix architecture concept of software that rebuilds itself from specifications rather than static artifacts.
