What is mattwood.fyi?

A live, structured feed of riffs and links from Matt Wood, Chief AI & Technology Officer at AWS — readable by people and queryable by agents as a typed knowledge graph.

Is there an API and is it free?

Yes. A public, read-only query API is available with no authentication and no API keys. See https://mattwood.fyi/openapi.json and https://mattwood.fyi/docs.

How should an AI agent use this site?

Fetch https://mattwood.fyi/feed.json for the full structured feed, or query the API for keyword/semantic search and the connection graph. See https://mattwood.fyi/agents/ for when-to-use guidance.

Controlled Agentic Commerce with AgentCore Payments

Connections

Challenges

Why AI Agents' Deceptive Behavior Concerns Users By demonstrating controlled commerce flows with explicit oversight mechanisms, AgentCore Payments directly addresses user concerns about deceptive or uncontrolled AI agent behavior in high-stakes financial transactions.

Related to

AWS Bedrock AgentCore Skill - Claude Code Plugin Both are focused on AWS Bedrock AgentCore capabilities — one on skill/plugin integration via Claude Code, the other on payments, representing different functional modules of the same platform.
How AgentCore Gateway Supports the MCP 2026-07-28 Spec Both items are directly about AgentCore infrastructure — one covers the MCP gateway spec support, the other covers payment flows, making them complementary pieces of the same AgentCore platform ecosystem.

Supports

Amazon's AI Shopping Assistant Transforms Retail with Conversational Search Controlled agentic commerce payments directly enables the kind of AI-driven retail transactions that Amazon's conversational shopping assistant represents — the payment layer is the infrastructure underpinning such commerce flows.
Introducing Dogwood: runtime verification for AI agents AgentCore Payments' emphasis on oversight and control mechanisms directly supports the case for runtime verification of AI agents — both address the need for guardrails in agentic systems performing real-world actions.

Develops into

Bridging Intent and Execution in Agentic Systems AgentCore Payments is a concrete implementation of bridging intent and execution in agentic systems — it takes the abstract challenge of agent action execution and grounds it in transactional commerce with control mechanisms.

Supported by

Amazon EC2 Celebrates 20 Years EC2's two decades of scalable cloud compute laid the infrastructure groundwork that now powers agentic commerce systems like AgentCore Payments, illustrating the long arc from IaaS to agentic applications.
OpenRouter is Joining Stripe Controlled agentic commerce requires a payment layer for AI agents; OpenRouter joining Stripe positions it to provide exactly this infrastructure — routing both model calls and microtransactions through a unified pipeline
Formal Methods for Controlling AI Agents Controlled agentic commerce requires exactly the kind of formal permission-boundary enforcement described here - formal methods provide the theoretical foundation for safe agentic transaction systems

UPS Automates 90% of Daily Customs Clearances With AI Agents Both involve AI agents handling complex, regulated transactional processes autonomously — customs clearance and commerce payments both require precise control, compliance, and reliability in agentic workflows.
Cognition and AWS Strategic Partnership for Autonomous Engineers Both involve AWS-hosted agentic infrastructure for enterprise use cases, with AgentCore Payments and autonomous engineers representing complementary AWS agent capabilities
